Since 1991 the district of Amatrice has been inserted into the National Park "Gran Sasso e Monti della Laga" and it represents, with its characteristic geomorphology and vegetation, a naturalistic patrimony of great suggestion and strong interest.

Amatrice local Council, in cooperation with other institutional bodies, activated different initiatives and created the necessary premises to tourist exploitation of its territory.

During last years, events and activity have been developed in order to exalt cultural and gastronomic traditions of the city.

This project rose from the need to redirect new tourist flows from ampler territorial areas, producing a promotional action oriented towards not yet frequented markets, through specialized magazines, travel agencies, tourist operators.

In order to give concreteness to this perspective, the Municipality of Amatrice and the Regione Lazio considered opportune to realize a file containing high resolution digital images, as an essential instrument.

This site collects some of the most suggestive images realized during the four seasons, and it constitutes a useful support to divulge the performed work, creating curiosity and attracting them who love looking for uncontaminated places, where Nature manifests itself in an extraordinary variety of expressive forms.
